Will you be submitting credentialed web service requests? If credentialed, the web service request will contain the Flight Service user name of the pilot you are filing or requesting web services on behalf of. This is recommended since all flight actions will be saved in the pilot’s account history.
There are several reasons to consider credentialed filing:
Your application will show up on the Leidos Flight Service website on the Service Provider Authorization page so that pilots can select your application to file on their behalf.
Leidos offers an advanced service that sends a notification to a pilot to close their flight plan before it is overdue.
A Flight Service Specialist can help with any questions concerning credentialed flight plan actions.
For performing credentialed actions, a pilot must authorize who can provide services on their behalf. To have your clients authorize your application to send web services on their behalf, you can direct them to use the following steps:
Create an account and login to the Leidos Flight Service website.
From the “Account” tab, select “Service Provider Authorization”
Click “Edit”, next to your application, select “Yes” , and click “Save”
It's a good idea to set up an additional account in our website to simulate a customer of yours. If you'd like an additional account, please send an email to: R-FFSP-WebServicesSupport@leidos.com.
