Service Provider Authorization

Service Provider Authorization

Will your application submit credentialed web service requests? This is recommended for the following reasons:

  • All flight actions will be saved in the pilot’s account history.

  • A Flight Service Specialist can help with any questions concerning credentialed flight plan actions.

  • Leidos Flight Service offers advanced services which send notifications to a pilot. See the Leidos Flight Service website for complete details.

    • Adverse Condition Alerting Service (ACAS)

    • EasyActivate/EasyClose

    • Close Reminders

    • ATC notices concerning changes to an IFR flight plan

    • Surveillance Enhanced Search and Rescue (SE-SAR)

    • Preflight Summaries

In addition, if you wish to submit credentialed web services, your application will be displayed on the Leidos Flight Service website on the Service Provider Authorization page so that pilots can authorize your application.

For performing credentialed actions, a pilot must authorize who can provide services on their behalf. To have your clients authorize your application, you can direct them to use the following steps:

  1. Create an account and login to the Leidos Flight Service website.

  2. From the “Account” tab, select “Service Provider Authorization”

    1. Next to your application, click “Edit”, select “Yes” , and click “Save”

A credentialed web service request will contain the pilot’s Flight Service user name. It's a good idea to set up an additional account in our test website to simulate a customer of yours. If you'd like an additional account, please let us know.

If you would like your application to be set up to submit credentialed web services, please send an email to: R-FFSP-WebServicesSupport@leidos.com.
